Hand Me Up is an open end, collaborative movement that combines fashion, art, science and activism to inform us of the impact overconsumption and waste have on the environment and our bodies. COUTURE TRASH challenges conventional ideas of luxury by prioritizing the natural world.

"We must urgently change every facet of how we live now, to end all wars, all divisions between religions and people, and to protect and save the environment." Sogyal Rinpoche

the Hand Me Up team is lead by three designers / activists: Jussara Lee, a Brazilian-born fashion designer of Korean heritage who shifted her collections towards the hand-taylored and custom-made; Zille Huma, a Pakistani-born fashion designer and educator whose work sits at the intersection of traditional craft, cultural heritage, and sustainable practice; and Pouleena Kumar, an Indian-born fashion designer and world class hand embroider.
